Vibrio metschnikovii is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, curved rod of the family Vibrionaceae, distinguished from most other vibrios by its oxidase-negative reaction. It is found in freshwater, estuarine, and marine environments and has been isolated from shellfish, sewage, and river water, with rare cases of human bacteraemia, wound infections, and pneumonia reported. V. metschnikovii has a two-chromosome genome and is phylogenetically distinct within the genus, with a relatively limited repertoire of the classical cholera-associated virulence factors.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
