Streptococcus uberis is a Gram-positive coccus of the family Streptococcaceae, commonly found in the environment of dairy farms including bedding, soil, and bovine skin. It is one of the most prevalent environmental pathogens causing bovine mastitis worldwide, capable of both clinical and subclinical intramammary infections that are often difficult to prevent by conventional teat hygiene alone. Genomically, S. uberis displays high strain diversity with a large accessory genome encoding plasminogen-binding proteins, hyaluronic acid capsule, and other virulence factors that facilitate invasion of the mammary gland.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
