Salmonella arizonae (formally Salmonella enterica subsp. arizonae) is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic rod of the family Enterobacteriaceae. It is primarily associated with reptiles, particularly snakes and lizards, and can cause gastroenteritis, bacteraemia, and focal infections in immunocompromised humans, young children, and those with reptile contact. S. arizonae is distinguished from other Salmonella subspecies by biochemical tests such as malonate utilisation and gelatin liquefaction, and its genome carries pathogenicity islands typical of the Salmonella genus.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
