Mycobacterium marinum is a slow-growing, photochromogenic, acid-fast bacillus in the family Mycobacteriaceae, naturally found in freshwater and saltwater environments. It causes granulomatous skin infections (fish tank granuloma or swimming pool granuloma) in humans, typically on the extremities following aquatic exposure. The genome of M. marinum (~6.6 Mb) is the largest among pathogenic mycobacteria and shares extensive synteny with M. tuberculosis, making it a widely used surrogate model for studying tuberculosis pathogenesis in zebrafish and other ectothermic hosts.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
