Hafnia paralvei is a facultatively anaerobic, Gram-negative rod of the family Hafniaceae, closely related to Hafnia alvei and frequently misidentified as such by conventional biochemical methods. It is found in the gastrointestinal tract of humans and animals, in food products, and in environmental sources, and has been associated with opportunistic infections including bacteraemia and respiratory tract infections. Genomically, H. paralvei is distinguished from H. alvei by average nucleotide identity and carries a variable accessory genome with plasmid-borne antimicrobial resistance determinants.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
