Campylobacter hyointestinalis is a microaerophilic, Gram-negative, curved rod of the family Campylobacteraceae, primarily associated with proliferative enteritis in pigs and cattle. It can occasionally cause gastroenteritis in humans and has been isolated from various animal reservoirs including poultry and deer. C. hyointestinalis has a relatively small genome typical of campylobacters, with limited metabolic versatility and notable variability in surface-exposed glycosylation loci among strains.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
