Bacteroides stercoris is an obligately anaerobic, non-spore-forming Gram-negative rod in the family Bacteroidaceae, found as a commensal in the human gastrointestinal tract. It contributes to the breakdown of dietary polysaccharides and has been detected at altered abundances in metagenomic studies of metabolic and inflammatory conditions. B. stercoris possesses multiple polysaccharide utilisation loci and a genome typical of gut-adapted Bacteroides, though it has received less research attention than species such as B. fragilis or B. thetaiotaomicron.
Derived from 166 genomes: 3 from RefSeq and 163 from other sources. For the derivation pipeline and the PASS / WARN / FAIL verdict model, see the methods page for qualibact-v1.0.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
