Yersinia pestis is a Gram-negative coccobacillus of the family Yersiniaceae and the causative agent of plague, one of the most devastating infectious diseases in human history, responsible for pandemics including the Black Death. It is maintained in rodent reservoirs and transmitted to humans primarily through flea bites, causing bubonic, septicaemic, or pneumonic forms of disease. Y. pestis evolved recently from Y. pseudotuberculosis through acquisition of two additional plasmids (pMT1 and pPCP1), gene inactivation, and insertion-sequence expansion, resulting in a highly clonal population structure.
Derived from 2,365 genomes: 232 from RefSeq and 2,133 from other sources. For the derivation pipeline and the PASS / WARN / FAIL verdict model, see the methods page for qualibact-v1.0.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
