Wolbachia pipientis is a Gram-negative, obligate intracellular alphaproteobacterium of the family Anaplasmataceae (order Rickettsiales), found as an endosymbiont in an estimated 40-60% of arthropod species as well as in filarial nematodes. It manipulates host reproduction through mechanisms including cytoplasmic incompatibility, parthenogenesis induction, male killing, and feminisation, making it one of the most successful reproductive parasites known. W. pipientis has a reduced genome (approximately 1.0-1.7 Mb) with extensive mobile genetic elements, and is being deployed as a biocontrol agent against mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue and Zika.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
