Vibrio alginolyticus is a halophilic, Gram-negative curved rod belonging to the family Vibrionaceae, widely distributed in warm coastal and estuarine waters worldwide. It is an opportunistic pathogen in humans, causing wound infections, otitis externa, and occasional bacteraemia, and is also a significant pathogen of marine fish and shellfish. V. alginolyticus genomes carry multiple virulence-associated gene clusters, including those encoding haemolysins and type III secretion systems, reflecting its dual role as an environmental organism and emerging pathogen.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
