Turicibacter sanguinis is a Gram-positive, obligately anaerobic, non-motile rod in the family Erysipelotrichaceae (phylum Bacillota), first isolated from a blood culture of a febrile patient. It is increasingly recognised as a common member of the mammalian gut microbiota, where it interacts with host bile acids and serotonin signalling pathways, influencing lipid metabolism and immune homeostasis. T. sanguinis has a relatively small genome (approximately 2.9 Mb) and is difficult to cultivate, which has limited its characterisation until recent culture-independent and gnotobiotic studies.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
