Sinorhizobium meliloti (also known as Ensifer meliloti) is a Gram-negative, aerobic alphaproteobacterium in the family Rhizobiaceae, capable of establishing nitrogen-fixing symbiosis with leguminous plants of the genera Medicago, Melilotus, and Trigonella. It is a model organism for studying rhizobium-legume interactions, nodule organogenesis, and biological nitrogen fixation. S. meliloti has a multipartite genome comprising a chromosome and two large megaplasmids (pSymA and pSymB) that carry the symbiotic nitrogen-fixation genes and essential metabolic functions, respectively.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
