Sinorhizobium medicae is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped alphaproteobacterium of the family Rhizobiaceae, closely related to Sinorhizobium meliloti. It forms nitrogen-fixing root-nodule symbioses predominantly with annual Medicago species (medics) and is commonly found in acidic and nutrient-poor soils around the Mediterranean basin. S. medicae possesses a multipartite genome consisting of a chromosome and two or more megaplasmids that carry the symbiosis and nitrogen-fixation gene clusters, and shows distinct accessory genome content relative to S. meliloti.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
