Pseudomonas protegens is a fluorescent, Gram-negative rod of the family Pseudomonadaceae, originally isolated from the rhizosphere of tobacco and cotton plants. It is a well-characterised biocontrol agent that suppresses plant-pathogenic fungi and oomycetes through the production of antimicrobial compounds including 2,4-diacetylphloroglucinol, pyoluteorin, and pyrrolnitrin. P. protegens has a large genome (approximately 6.7 Mb) encoding an extensive array of secondary metabolite biosynthetic gene clusters, making it one of the most prolific antibiotic producers in the genus.
Derived from 217 genomes: 31 from RefSeq and 186 from other sources. For the derivation pipeline and the PASS / WARN / FAIL verdict model, see the methods page for qualibact-v1.0.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
