Providencia rettgeri is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic rod in the family Morganellaceae, found in water, soil, and the intestinal flora of humans and animals. It is an emerging multidrug-resistant opportunistic pathogen that causes urinary tract infections, wound infections, and bacteraemia, predominantly in hospitalised and immunocompromised patients. P. rettgeri is of particular concern for harbouring plasmid-mediated carbapenemase genes such as NDM-1, contributing to the global dissemination of carbapenem resistance among Enterobacterales.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
