Listeria seeligeri is a Gram-positive, facultatively anaerobic rod in the family Listeriaceae, found in soil, vegetation, and water, and generally considered non-pathogenic or very rarely pathogenic for humans. Although it harbours a truncated version of the LIPI-1 virulence cluster including a listeriolysin O gene, it lacks key internalin genes and is unable to replicate intracellularly under normal conditions. The genome of L. seeligeri (~2.8 Mb) provides a valuable evolutionary comparison for understanding how virulence was acquired and lost across the Listeria genus.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
