Legionella pneumophila is an aerobic, Gram-negative rod in the family Legionellaceae, naturally found in freshwater environments where it replicates within free-living amoebae. It is the principal agent of Legionnaires' disease, a severe form of pneumonia acquired by inhaling contaminated aerosols from cooling towers, plumbing systems, and other engineered water sources. The genome of L. pneumophila (~3.4 Mb) encodes an exceptionally large Dot/Icm type IV secretion system with over 300 effector proteins that manipulate host cell trafficking.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
