Klebsiella oxytoca is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, encapsulated rod in the family Enterobacteriaceae, found in the environment, food, and the human gastrointestinal tract. It is the second most common Klebsiella species in clinical settings, causing urinary tract infections, bacteraemia, and notably antibiotic-associated haemorrhagic colitis mediated by the cytotoxin tilivalline. K. oxytoca is the type species of a broader species complex that includes K. michiganensis and K. grimontii, and possesses a chromosomal class A beta-lactamase (OXY) that confers intrinsic resistance to amino- and carboxy-penicillins.
Derived from 1,146 genomes: 60 from RefSeq and 1,086 from other sources. For the derivation pipeline and the PASS / WARN / FAIL verdict model, see the methods page for qualibact-v1.0.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
