Klebsiella michiganensis is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic rod in the family Enterobacteriaceae, belonging to the Klebsiella oxytoca species complex and initially isolated from a toothbrush holder. It is found in clinical, environmental, and food-associated samples and can cause opportunistic infections similar to those of K. oxytoca, including bacteraemia and urinary tract infections. K. michiganensis frequently harbours the cytotoxin biosynthetic gene cluster and can carry extended-spectrum beta-lactamase and carbapenemase genes on mobile genetic elements.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
