Janthinobacterium lividum is an aerobic, Gram-negative rod of the family Oxalobacteraceae within the order Burkholderiales, commonly found in soil, freshwater, and glacial environments. It is best known for producing violacein, a purple bisindole pigment with potent antifungal, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal properties, which has attracted considerable interest for biocontrol and pharmaceutical applications. The genome of J. lividum is approximately 6 Mb and encodes the five-gene vioABCDE operon responsible for violacein biosynthesis, along with diverse secondary metabolite clusters.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
