Glaesserella parasuis (formerly Haemophilus parasuis) is a fastidious, Gram-negative, pleomorphic rod of the family Pasteurellaceae, found as a commensal of the upper respiratory tract of pigs. Virulent strains cause Glasser's disease, a systemic condition characterised by fibrinous polyserositis, polyarthritis, and meningitis, which represents a major economic burden in swine production. G. parasuis displays extensive serotype diversity (at least 15 serovars), and its genome shows significant strain-level variation in virulence-associated outer membrane proteins, polysaccharide loci, and trimeric autotransporters.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
