Escherichia albertii is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic rod in the family Enterobacteriaceae, initially misidentified as Hafnia alvei or atypical Escherichia coli before its formal species description. It is an emerging enteric pathogen causing diarrhoeal disease in humans and has been associated with outbreaks linked to contaminated food and water. E. albertii carries virulence genes homologous to those of enterohaemorrhagic and enteropathogenic E. coli, including intimin (eae) and cytolethal distending toxin (cdt), and its misidentification may lead to under-reporting.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
