Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic rod in the family Erysipelotrichaceae within the class Erysipelotrichia. It is a zoonotic pathogen with a wide animal reservoir including swine, poultry, fish, and marine mammals, and causes erysipeloid in humans -- a localised cellulitis of the fingers and hands acquired through occupational exposure. In pigs it causes swine erysipelas, and E. rhusiopathiae produces a hyaluronidase and surface protective antigen (SpaA) that are important for evasion of phagocytosis and systemic virulence.
Derived from 556 genomes: 23 from RefSeq and 533 from other sources. For the derivation pipeline and the PASS / WARN / FAIL verdict model, see the methods page for qualibact-v1.0.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
