Enterococcus faecium is a Gram-positive, catalase-negative coccus in the family Enterococcaceae, found in the gastrointestinal tract of humans and animals. It is a major nosocomial pathogen and a leading cause of vancomycin-resistant enterococcal (VRE) infections, including bacteraemia, endocarditis, and urinary tract infections, and is listed among the WHO priority pathogens for antimicrobial resistance. E. faecium is genomically divided into hospital-adapted (clade A1) and community/commensal (clade B) lineages, with hospital strains carrying extensive accessory genomes enriched in resistance and virulence determinants.
Derived from 33,675 genomes: 387 from RefSeq and 33,288 from other sources. For the derivation pipeline and the PASS / WARN / FAIL verdict model, see the methods page for qualibact-v1.0.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
