Enterobacter hormaechei is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic rod in the family Enterobacteriaceae and one of the most clinically prevalent members of the Enterobacter cloacae complex. It is a major cause of multidrug-resistant nosocomial infections including bloodstream infections, ventilator-associated pneumonia, and intra-abdominal infections. E. hormaechei comprises several subspecies and frequently harbours carbapenemase genes (such as blaNDM and blaKPC) on conjugative plasmids, making it a high-priority pathogen for antimicrobial resistance surveillance.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
