Citrobacter werkmanii is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic rod of the family Enterobacteriaceae, isolated from soil, water, and occasionally clinical specimens. It is a rare opportunistic pathogen that has been reported in bloodstream and wound infections, primarily in patients with underlying comorbidities. Genomically, C. werkmanii belongs to the Citrobacter freundii complex and possesses a chromosomal AmpC beta-lactamase gene, with some isolates carrying additional acquired resistance determinants on mobile genetic elements.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
