Citrobacter amalonaticus is a facultatively anaerobic, Gram-negative rod of the family Enterobacteriaceae, distinguished from other citrobacters by its inability to utilise malonate. It is found in the human gastrointestinal tract and environmental sources and can act as an opportunistic pathogen, causing urinary tract infections, bacteraemia, and neonatal meningitis. Genomically, C. amalonaticus shares extensive synteny with other Citrobacter species but carries variable accessory elements including antibiotic resistance plasmids.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
