Brucella melitensis is a Gram-negative, facultatively intracellular coccobacillus of the family Brucellaceae within the order Hyphomicrobiales. It is the most virulent Brucella species in humans, primarily acquired through contact with infected sheep and goats or consumption of unpasteurised dairy products, causing undulant fever (brucellosis). B. melitensis has a bipartite genome consisting of two circular chromosomes with remarkably high sequence conservation across strains, reflecting its clonal population structure and intracellular lifestyle.
Derived from 2,881 genomes: 77 from RefSeq and 2,804 from other sources. For the derivation pipeline and the PASS / WARN / FAIL verdict model, see the methods page for qualibact-v1.0.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
