Brachyspira hyodysenteriae is an anaerobic, Gram-negative spirochaete of the family Brachyspiraceae and the causative agent of swine dysentery, a severe mucohaemorrhagic colitis in pigs. It colonises the large intestinal crypts and produces haemolysins that drive tissue damage, making it one of the most economically important enteric pathogens in pig production worldwide. The genome of B. hyodysenteriae is relatively small for a spirochaete and encodes multiple outer-membrane proteins and NADH oxidases thought to be key virulence determinants.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
