Borreliella burgdorferi is a Gram-negative spirochaete of the family Borreliaceae and the primary causative agent of Lyme disease in North America. It is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected Ixodes ticks and can cause multisystem disease affecting the skin, joints, heart, and nervous system. B. burgdorferi has a unique segmented genome comprising a linear chromosome and over twenty linear and circular plasmids, which encode a diverse repertoire of variable surface antigens essential for tick-mammal transmission cycling.
Derived from 592 genomes: 58 from RefSeq and 534 from other sources. For the derivation pipeline and the PASS / WARN / FAIL verdict model, see the methods page for qualibact-v1.0.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
