Bifidobacterium bifidum is a Gram-positive, anaerobic, non-motile rod belonging to the family Bifidobacteriaceae within the phylum Actinomycetota. It is one of the earliest colonisers of the human infant gut and is considered a key commensal associated with immune modulation, pathogen exclusion, and mucin degradation. Genomically, B. bifidum possesses a relatively compact genome enriched in glycosyl hydrolases that enable the breakdown of host-derived glycans such as mucin O-glycans and human milk oligosaccharides.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
