Bacteroides uniformis is an obligately anaerobic, non-spore-forming Gram-negative rod in the family Bacteroidaceae, and a prevalent member of the human colonic microbiota. It is involved in the fermentation of dietary fibre and resistant starch, and has been associated in clinical and metagenomic studies with metabolic health benefits, including improved glucose homeostasis and reduced adiposity. B. uniformis encodes a diverse set of polysaccharide utilisation loci and has been investigated as a potential next-generation probiotic, with its genome reflecting adaptation to the competitive glycan-rich environment of the human gut.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
