Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron is an obligately anaerobic, non-spore-forming Gram-negative rod in the family Bacteroidaceae, and one of the most abundant and well-studied members of the human gut microbiota. It is a glycan generalist, capable of degrading a vast array of dietary plant polysaccharides and host-derived mucin glycans, and serves as a keystone species for community-level carbohydrate metabolism in the distal intestine. B. thetaiotaomicron has a large genome (~6.3 Mb) encoding over 260 glycoside hydrolases and 88 polysaccharide utilisation loci, making it a primary model for understanding carbohydrate foraging strategies and host-microbe mutualism in the human gut.
Derived from 726 genomes: 20 from RefSeq and 706 from other sources. For the derivation pipeline and the PASS / WARN / FAIL verdict model, see the methods page for qualibact-v1.0.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
