Bacillus thuringiensis is a facultatively anaerobic, endospore-forming Gram-positive rod in the family Bacillaceae, belonging to the Bacillus cereus sensu lato group. It is distinguished by the production of crystalline parasporal insecticidal proteins (Cry and Cyt toxins) during sporulation and is the most widely used biological pesticide worldwide, with applications in agriculture and mosquito control. B. thuringiensis shares a nearly identical chromosomal backbone with B. cereus and B. anthracis, with its insecticidal phenotype determined primarily by the cry genes carried on large conjugative plasmids.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
