Agrobacterium tumefaciens is an aerobic Gram-negative rod in the family Rhizobiaceae, widely found in soil and the rhizosphere. It is the causative agent of crown gall disease in dicotyledonous plants, transferring its T-DNA from the tumour-inducing (Ti) plasmid into host plant cells -- a mechanism that has been extensively exploited for plant genetic engineering. A. tumefaciens has a bipartite genome consisting of a circular and a linear chromosome plus the Ti plasmid, and its type IV secretion system for DNA transfer is among the best-characterised bacterial conjugation machineries.

How to read this: A value outside a failure limit fails QC. Within the failure limits, values beyond a warning limit are borderline and worth a manual look; values within the warning limits pass that criterion. A dash means that no bound is defined on that side.
